I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow, and last week I thought I started to feel move, however this week, nothing. Im having a nervous breakdown that something is wrong.

Re: Someone reassure me please
You're okay! I'm 23 weeks and still don't feel the baby on a consistent basis. I think its after 28 or 30 weeks is when they should be moving on a regular, well that you feel it. B/c baby has been moving since 7weeks.

Re: Someone reassure me please
Same EXACT thing happened to me at around the same time. I thought I felt the baby move twice, then nothing for like 3 weeks (in that time I had my 20 week sono so I know the baby was ok) but at about 20-21 weeks I started feeling the flutters daily and now the kicking has started! Just give it time....you'll feel it soon!

Re: Someone reassure me please
Hey there.....I'm in the same boat. I felt our little peanut last week but nothing this week. I know we are okay. I think its still early so I haven't been too worried. When we went for the amnio, the baby would not move into position to get measured for almost 20 minutes. My doc also said our baby is pretty calm - nothing like its parents

Re: Someone reassure me please
Im a bit over 18 weeks......I feel the baby very sporadically---I usually have to be resting/quiet to feel the flutters because they are still soooo subtle. I read in one of my books that a lot of women don't even feel the baby yet (especially with their first), it also depends on where your placenta is.....hang in there, before you know it she will be full on kicking you!!!

I know it is easy to say but try not to worry. I have felt him move a few times, but not every day, don't forget that at this stage baby is small and there is a lot of fluild sploshing around in there so she can move alot without being somewhere that you can feel it. I only feel him if I am lying quietly and it is usually for some reason in the evening. I'm sure everthing is fine

Re: Someone reassure me please
You're not supposed to feel the baby consistantly til about week 24 or 25. Even then there are many factors as to feeling the baby's kicks. If the baby is facing the back, you don't feel them as often. Or, in my case, I had so much amniotic fluid that his kicks were muffled.

Re: Someone reassure me please
I wouldn't worry. I am almost 25 weeks and still have trouble feeling the baby. My dr said my placenta is in front so it muffles her kicks and movements. I have to lay very still for awhille to feel anything and still it is very faint.
