Something I wnted to share....it was going to be party related
My dh called me to say Sunday they are calling for rain. Everytime I plan a huge party this happens..the panic started to set in.
I called my mom..she was crying..they gave her friend who has two kids my older kids ages...12 and 13 2 months to live.
What a slap in the face that was..How dare I think of the rain! who cares what this cost...who cares who gets wet..
I know that dy that woman will wonder how many more storms she will ever see..or how many more times she can dance in the rain with her kids...
so on Sunday...pouring or not..I will be dancing in the rain for her..with a smile on my face and be thnking God the entire time.

Why don't you get canopies like I did?
There were only $20 each at National Wholesale Liquididator. They are not good quality but they will do the job the day of.
You can see pics in my album. They are 10x10.

it was the fact of the babies--2 sets of twins and couple under 2 not staying underneath---and just the whole rain ordeal in general--which as I said so means nothing now...just not important.

Things like this really put everything else into perspective. I am so sorry for your friend.
You totally had my back with the positivity for Lucas' party...so I got yours. I'll put the blessed mother out for Sunday. But we both agree - rain or no rain it's a party for fun to be had. Enjoy each other even more on Sunday knowing how precious each and every person there is.

Yeah, every once in a while we are reminded that life is so precious.
I try to think of such every time I'm in traffic, stuck on a line. I often think... Dad would love to be able bodied enough to drive and be stuck in traffic, my mom would love to be on line at Stop and Shop behind someone with three carts, 1000 coupons and not bagging... but they and so many others aren't

I guess it makes us remember to not sweat the small stuff. ... and in the long run, rain is small stuff. It's hard to remember when we make ourselves crazy planning a "perfect" event. We all do it. It's stories like this that make us remember what's important. Sending you and your friend tons of prayers!
