Sonogram vs. Ultrasound??

Sonogram vs. Ultrasound??
My doctor's office just called to confirm my appt and I asked if it was the sonogram appt and she said no, it is the ultrasound appt. What is the difference?

Not sure. I got a sono at 7.5 weeks and so did most other girls on here (there was a thread about that yesterday). I would call the office again to clarify because you don't want your DH to miss it. I thought they were the same thing

They're basically the same thing. The ultrasound is the procedure and the sonogram is the resulting image.
