Sorry if this is a stupid question, but who does a man see for IF testing?

I would really like for my DH to have an SA done as well as maybe some other testing (see other post on TTC) in case there are any type of other problems like varicoceles.

Who would he see for this?

My ob/gyn does not want to send me for any testing until the 1 year mark. We started trying last September, and I need a referral to see an RE for my insurance company.

My insurance covers (for male diagnosis):
-Semen analysis
-Huhner's test or post coital exams
-lab studies (FSH, LH, prolactin, serum testosterone)
-testicular biopsy
-scrotal ultrasound
-electrical assistance for recovery of sperm

[those are from an Infertility supplement about my coverage, so I'm not even sure what all of those are]

So, who would my DH see for any kind of testing like this?

A urologist. But usually there should be a reason to start seeing one..like an abnormal semen analysis etc.

My Dh just got the script for a SA from his regular doctor. They go to a lab to drop of the sample. He is going to go after this cycle if nessessary

If all comes back good with that, then I don't think I'm going to have him go for further testing.

start with his PMD giving him a script for a SA

Your DH can get a script for a SA from his regular doctor or a urologist. My DH went to a urologist before we even started trying. Oh, and don't listen to your gyn about 1 year if you are not comfortable with that. I started seeing a RE at the 6 month mark eventhough my gyn wanted me to wait.
