Sorry...Another Flying with kids question....
I can't recall what the rule of thumb is for the time of flight.....
Should I fly when they SHOULD be napping?
And does that really work....do they actually nap if it is their nap time???

For me, it didn't work. but then again, I didn't have a seat for my ds. he sat on my lap.....if you have a seat for your dd, and your ds is still small enough, they should nap.
But wanted to share with you - ATL airport has a stroller line! Make sure one of them is in a stroller. It is next to the handicap entrance. There are no signs for it, but they let you go in - you miss all the snaking lines. Also, sometimes if there are nice TSA people, they pull you through to the security lines faster too. Instead of waiting on the two big lines that feed into the security lines, they pull you to the middle, and get your right on a security line! HTH

Re: Sorry...Another Flying with kids question....
It did work for us going down to Florida last week.
She feel asleep about 10-15 minutes into the flight and slept until we had about 20 minutes left to the flight.
Coming back to NY didn't work so well, cause she feel asleep in the car on the way to the airport - but it was past her nap time. But honestly we played movies the entire flight and she was an angel - not like others on the flight

It really depends on your DC! I typically fly early in the morning and that works for us. Of course, if DS even SEES his car seat, he will fall asleep
I think, since Aly is a little older, you might want to fly when she would be napping. I know, on the last flight we took, DS started to get a little restless towards the end and only wanted to run down the aisle.
