Sort of Pregnancy Related: My 30th birthday gift "list"

So I am turning 30 this year (yippeeeeee- ) and DH has been bothering me to come up with a list. Between working on and moving into a new place and the baby coming and being preggo, there is really nothing I want that is "gift worthy" according to DH especially for my 30th b-day. DH is a sentimental guy that always likes to give me a piece of jewelry for special occassions, but jewelry is the last thing on my list right now. For some reason all I can think of is "baby" and "new home" and having a really hard time coming up with anything I really want for my 30th birthday.

So, does anyone want to help me come up with a birthday list for my big 3-0?

What about a new bag?? I love getting a new coach bag every once in a while!

Also...I know you aren't thinking about jewelry..but honestly my favorite thing I've received since my son was born was a mother/child necklace from red envelope. It's a simple silver necklace and perfectly fit my style. I have worn it almost every day since I've received it. I also saw a close friends necklace and LOVED it...I'll try to find a pic and post it.

Other than that, I would say things for YOU that you enjoy doing because you'll need those moments to get out by yourself for pampering...like hair/nail GC or massage if you're into that.

What about a nice night out in the city.. dinner, show, etc or a little weekend trip just the two of you b4 the baby comes. This way it's something you can enjoy.
Either that or tell him to get you a little something now and then the two of you can celebrate after the baby is born and take a little family weekend trip in the Fall.

I told DH I wanted to go to Baltimore so we may go in Oct and it'll be a little family vaca.

for my 30th DH and I were engaged the month b4 so we celebrated at a bar with lots of friends. Can't even imagine celebrating like that now. LOL! need sleep by 9 PM.

I like the spa idea or a really nice dinner out before the baby comes to celebrate your birthday!! Congrats on your new place.

I am of no help bc I am dealing with the same thing. My 30th is in October & the baby is due the end of August. I am drawing such a blank

Like others said, maybe a nice family weekend away so you can enjoy it together.

What about something for your house, like a piece of furniture

a piece of jewlry to mark the birth of your daughter.

These are all good ideas to add to my list. I REALLY want a "mommy" piece of jewelry, but I don't think DH is too keen on giving that to me prior to the birth of our DD. My birthday is next Friday- nothing like waiting til the last minute to come up with a list
