Sorta spinoff to upstairs bedrooms - escape ladders?
For everyone with DC in upstairs bedrooms, do you have escape ladders, or an escape route out of the window?
I just bought ladders for our bedrooms. DS is 6.5, so I showed him how to use it. DD is 3.5, so she can't use her own ladder, but at least if there is a fire, and DW or I go into her room, we can use the ladder if we need it.

DH has an escape ladder, but we haven't put it in his room yet. He's only 7.5 months old. It's in our closet for now

I kept putting it off, too. DS is in school and Cub Scouts, and they both focus a lot on fire safety. It's hard to look DS in the eyes and try to explain to him why we don't have ladders and safety equipment when firefighters came to his school and told him how important it was to have to stay alive in a fire.....
