South Shore Hospital in Oceanside

My Ob-gyn just told me they re-did the wing in South Shore. I looked at the photos and it looks very nice.

We are going to start trying sometime next summer, and was wondering has anyone given birth there?

What's the rep of the hospital?

The only other hospital she goes to is Winthrop. I have not heard good things about Winthrop.

I gave birth there. It was AWESOME..the rooms are amazing...the staff was amazing..all rooms are private, hardwood floors, flat screen TV..the security is awesome@!! I highly recommend it...Oh I gave birth July 12, 2007

I had DS2 there before they had the new wing, and I was even thrilled with the hospital then! It's just not as busy as Winthrop (where I had DS1) so I felt like I got a lot more personal attention.

I am looking forward to having a third child in that new wing when I get pregnant again, it's so nice! I just visited a friend there and was impressed.

I did hear they re-did South Nassau. My doc delivers there as well as Winthrop and NS Manhasset. I delivered at Winthrop and had a wonderful experience both times.

Thanks, I know I am neurotic but I like to know these things. It does not help that I have sis in Westchester who is a neo-natal nurse. So babies are a huge part of my life! The next thing she is going to ask is what level is their NICU?

I had my second son at South Nassau in April of 07. It is beautiful..............Each room is private, flat screen TV and wireless internet connection.
I checked out the NICU because I was a wreck since my first son was in NICU because of his sugar level. It has a great reputation.............
