SouthBay obgyn ladies?
For those who go to Southbay Obgyn:
I had my 27 week appointment wed. and asked the nurse when my next sono would be because I haven't seen my little lady since 21 weeks and she said only at 36 weeks!! Is that true? I can't imagine that they wouldn't want to check up on her a little before then! It will be 25 weeks without a sono?!?! Anyone else go through this yet and can confirm this??
ETA: omg, I'm such a dope... My brain is already in weekend mode! I meant 15 weeks without a sono...

Re: SouthBay obgyn ladies?
Yep unfortunately that's true, I had my sono there at 20 weeks and then didn't have another until this Monday at 36 weeks. At 28 weeks I went for a 3D sono at an outside company because my insurance won't cover it and it was a gift.
ETA: They always do the doppler and check his HB at every visit. I think if that comes up good and you don't have any other issues they don't see the need for a sono.

Yup I had my 20 weeks sono there and the next one is in 2 weeks at my 36w visit. Unfortunately at 30 weeks I had to go to Good Sam for severe dehydration and contractions, so they gave me a sono at the hospital.

Did you mean 15 weeks w/o a sono? B/c you had one at 21 and will have one at 36. I was just confused by the 25 weeks part. I'm assuming it was a typo.
I know how annoying it is to not get another sono, but unfortunately most insurances don't allow it unless there is a medical reason necessary to check sooner than 36 weeks.
Hang in there!!!
ETA: Although 36 weeks seems really far away, time flies in the 3rd trimester. I was really bummed like u and here I am going to my 36 week appt on June 9th.

Re: SouthBay obgyn ladies?
It depends on your insurance and how your pregnancy is going after my 20 week I had another at 28 weeks because my placenta was very low, but after that nothing until 36. I have Oxford and was told by the son tech that they only cover 4 sono's unless more are medically required.
