speeding ticket in nassau county question
DH was stopped going 65 in a 55 on the meadowbrook. The officer didn't give him a ticket with fine but he had to mail in a notice stating if he pleaded guilty or not. DH pleaded guilty & we assumed that they'd just mail us a ticket the fine. Instead we received a notice of a pre-trial conference and that's when we'll see if a fine will be given to him. We don't live in nassau & never been stopped for speeding before - is this normal? DH pleaded guilty so shouldn't they have just mailed him a fine & be done with it?

Yes, you are right. I pleaded guilty and just got the fine in the mail. Maybe someone processed yours incorrectly?
