spin off to freaked out/ id kill for a baby post..
when you have your baby wll you put that sign outside or ballons that say "its a boy/Girl". My landlords put balloons on the hosue for us when we came home with dd and my mom was freaking out bc she said that bad to do someone could break in knowing you have child. It was a few days after that incident where some lady was killed and the baby taken form her in a park somewhere( while she was pregnant) you guys remeber that case?

Not balloons, but storks (twins). I'm not worried about people knowing. There seems to be storks up in my neighborhood all the time.

We were planning to, but we are not going to be in a house by the time baby arrives.
I watched a whole show on baby stalkers and how they prey and even how they have changed baby registries to hide personal information. They can hit anywhere, they showed a knapping caught on tape in a parking lot. The baby was in the carseat, while the mom put her groceries in and they took the baby out. The mom was being dragged from the car, trying to get her baby back. The did catch the knapper!
SCARY STUFF!!

My mom was the same way. DH out out some pink balloons though. We live on a small cul-de-sac though, not much traffic.

i have no issues with having either SO or friends decorating where we are.... I have an alarm system in the house though, and there's an alarm sensor on her window.

Yeah, I don't think my neighbors will give a rats you know what anyway and being the time of year I'm due, they'll see us outside at some point over the summer anyway. I'm not sure I'll be calling attention to it either. As long as friends and family know - those are the people that matter. We keep to ourselves when it comes to neighbors anyway.
