Spin off to Motrin/Tylenol and teething...
It's obvious that Bella is teething. She is now chewing on her tongue like bubblegum as I mentioned in an earlier post...and her sleep has become very interupted and she's nursing more...
My ? is this... how much tylenol/motrin is ok during the day... and at night?
I mean, I feel like giving her tylenol every 4 hours during the day is too much.
She's 6 months... how much should I be giving her to help?

I only gave it when she visibly cranky, not just gumming things. I would give cold teethers and frozen rags if she was just chewing but not cranky.
THere were time i gave her tylenol during the days and motrin at night for a few days straight. It was usually right before it broke through.

me too. I reserve it for when she's only truly in a lot of pain - and no motrin, just tylenol.

I would usually pop in a few humphrey tablets at first and if that doesn't work and DS/DD is still cranky and uncomfortable, I'll give him/her motrin.

Re: Spin off to Motrin/Tylenol and teething...
If teething was very bad and DS would wake up hysterical crying at night-time I would give him 1 dose of Motrin.
So if did give it to him it would only be once a day.

We manage the pain during the day by distracting him and giving him things to gum.
We only give the Tylenol at night and only if he's REALLY cranking.
