Spinoff: Do you adjust their bedtime schedule if they wake up late for the day?

Just curious! I have to wake her every day at 6:30 to bring her to daycare and go to work....but on the weekends she can easily sleep past 8am. Then her whole feeding schedule is wacked, so I try to adjust it.

Is there a hard and fast rule, how long it goes from wake up time til bedtime?

TIA

I do a little - like if Ryan wakes earlier than usual and seems "off" then I put him in for a nap earlier (which may mean luck after nap instead of before). He is never thrown but a few adjustments in the day.

I WISH Samantha would sleep past 8am!!!!! Chat Icon

I don't adjust her bedtime, but would adjust her naps.

Sometimes Samantha will take a very long morning nap 9am-12pm, sometimes she'll even down for her morning nap at 8:30 and sleep till noon. In that case, I don't put her down for her afternoon nap until closer to 3 instead of 2. I also don't let her sleep past a certain time in the afternoon so that I can keep her bedtime the same.

Not her bedtime, but definitely her naps.

Today she was up at 7, so she went in for a nap at 1:30.

If she woke up at 8, unless she was really cranky and miserable, I'd put her up at 2.

Same bedtime for both, unless she had a marathon nap, which rarely happens.

Same here I WISH one day Tommy would sleep til 8. He typically does not sleep past 630am. Sometimes it will stretch til 7 / 730.

Adjusting her nap schedule is...well, impossible. She doesn't have a nap schedule! She's soooo inconsistent it's actually kinda funny!

yes I definitely adjust her naps and even her bedtime sometimes because there are times her naps will be off and she will take a late nap till 6pm so there is no way she will go back to bed before 8..
she doesnt have a set schedule either but she basically gets tired every 2-3 hours so if she wakes up later I just put her for a nap whenever she seems tired again.
