No, they're Jehova's Witnesses. And the reason "why" is mostly what was posted from snopes. Their religion doesn't believe in superstition, and this is a highly superstitious thing...no one's spirit is going to die if you don't say it!

Exactly - it has nothing to do with manners, it's about habit. Imo.
I agree. if you grew up in a household where your parents say it, then you say it too. it's an automatic reflex to me and I say it at the stores to complete strangers. they always smile and say thank you.

My family is Jehovah's Witnesses too, so I never grew up saying it. I have explained this to my coworkers so that they do not get offended if I don't say it. I take no offense if someone does not say it, it cannot be assumed that everyone has the same background and beliefs.

I get offended when they don't!
I used to ride the F train every morning and this guy would preach from the bible EVERY morning. (Not a crazy person a dude in a suit & briefcase.) He sat down after his sermons next to me & my brother. And I sneezed. The man said nothing. So, of course I looked at my brother & said not so holy know is he!

But I never say God Bless You because people do get offended at that.

It's funny b/c in Arabic, there is a term along the lines of "Bless You" when someone coughes....it's basically to say "In Good Health."
