I am usually pretty laid back but these are the comments that turn me into a smartazz. I usually respond with something like, "well, why didn't you offer to host this holiday, since you are the perfect planner?"
Few things annoy me more than a person who criticizes what I serve/offer/do after I open my home up to them. It's just really bad form.

This kind of changes things in my mind. She was NOT a good guest at all. Just that comment alone would put her on my 'don't invite again' list.
Sorry you had to deal with that kind of self entitled attitude in your own home.

see, so after she said that, I started thinking about what kind of GUEST I am...and realized that MY way of "guesting" wasn't being reciprocated...
anyway, whatever. it's family. it is what it is lol
