AJ goes to bed about 9-10 (mostly 9:30 she's gone for sure)

We stay up until at least midnight or 1am. We get 3hrs to ourselves. Which ironically we spend away from eachother mostly Chat Icon

About 3 hours after DS goes to bed...and by "free" I mean without child, not sit on the couch and do nothing bc there is always something to be done.

2-3 hours each night (8:30ish til whenever we go to bed)

Sometimes they are spent cleaning/dishes/laundry if DH is working (freelance at home), but always try to get an hour of down time for myself. If he's not working we watch our shows together.

Usually about 3... DS goes to be about 8ish, and I never stau up past 11 anymore...since I need to wake up to 'make sure' DH gets up for work at 3am. But, DH goes to be about 9ish LOL....so I usually just clean up the mess from dinner and play on the computer. I want to get back into working out then too...but too much has been going on. I'm hoping to start that up again...

LOL exactly why my hubby and I rarely see each other during those 3hrs. I'm doing stuff, he's doing things and then we meet in the living room for "break " around 11pm, then back to whatever we're doing. Actually I'm surprised at how much stuff gets done and then again how much doesn't! Chat Icon

But we TRY to get one hour of TV time together. Its like a cleaning of the mental capacity after hours of BARNEY!

DD goes to sleep at 8. I will watch TV with DH for an hour (but I am pumping for a half hour within that time LOL) and then I am in bed by 9.

On the weekends, I have 8-11 or whenever I fall asleep. Once she goes to sleep, I do NOTHING but relax, I would rather run around earlier in the day and luckily she takes a second nap around 3 so I get everything done then!

During the day, 2-3 hours to myself to clean, emails, shower..etc.
At night, DH & I have 2 hours together where we eat dinner & watch a show.

Re: spinoff from child's bedtime, how much free time do YOU get?

DD is usually asleep by 830-9 (but not always...she's. 3 m/o so this isn't set in stone). DS is asleep by 9-930. I usually knock out by 11-1130.

My "free time" is spent pumping, washing bottles and showering before I pass out.

If I can magically get them to nap at the same time during the day, my hour or so of free time is spent cleaning or doing laundry lol.

M-F 1.5 hrs while they are at the gym childcare and then about 2 hrs at night, 1 will be with DH. The weekend I usually do not get any free time.

Re: spinoff from child's bedtime, how much free time do YOU get?

maybe 1hr but that is bc Nicholas is up late & once he goes to sleep, DH
& I turn in with him. We have tried to put Nicholas down earlier but it results in a middle of the night waking.

DS is in bed btw. 7:30-8:30, depending on the night. So we get about 2.5 hours on average.

By 7:30 all 3 kids are asleep, DH and I usually head to bed by 11. So, 3.5 hours but we are not always together. Like right now, I am laying in bed with my laptop, DH is in the family room watching TV.

Re: spinoff from child's bedtime, how much free time do YOU get?

DS is ready for bed by 7ish; by 7:30 he's down. We're up in bed by 10 and lights out by 10:30..yes we're old farts..but we're up early and need sleep.

So two - two & half hours and usually Im in my office doing work on the computer, or doing things around the house, DH is watching Fox news or something on TV. I usually go and sit with him for a while, but there isnt much Us or ME time during the week.

Re: spinoff from child's bedtime, how much free time do YOU get?

Hardly none... she will fall off by 7:30-8:00 and than she is up by 10:00 during that time I'm running around like a chicken without a head getting stuff done. DH and I say we are like trains passing in the night. Our weekends have become so important its the only time we get to be together.
