Does the Camry come wtih a v-6? If so, i'd get a v-6 Camry over a cr-v which only has 4 cylinders. I test drove the CR-V and thought when filled with all our stuff it wouldn't have enough juice for us- so we got the v-6 accord.

Did you get the new 2008 accord, with the VCM? We went and test drove it yesterday, and loved it.. but I'm concerned about how it will act with the VCM, if the technology is too new.... I read some message boards about it and people say they can feel it kicking in and out.
Sorry for the hijack!!

I don't want to spend that much

CRV!! First cause they are cute and sporty
Second because its an SUV and if you have a baby it IS easier to get an infant seat in and out of an suv!

Re: Spinoff from my own post - please help me choose a car
Both cars are great. Personally, side by side I felt the CRV was underpowered. We opted for the Camry. For a 4 cyl, I thought it had lots of pep and nice creature comforts in the XLE.
So far, my service experience with Toyota has been excellent. I've had lots of Hondas and see the difference. Honda service was good but I see a difference that Toyota is better. JMO.

thanks for your opinions everyone.
I test drove the CR-V again today. love it, but the salesman wouldn't budge on the sticker price I know what the invoice price is, and dealers get it for even less than that with MFG "holdbacks".

I LOVE my Honda CR-V! I traded in my Honda Accord with.......324,218 miles I leased the CR-V but ended up buying it. I've had it for 5yrs now and I LOVE it! I bought/leased it knowing I wanted a family and it would accomidate that. You'll love it. I can't speak for the camry....I have never been in 1

on new model cars sometimes there are no holdbacks. Have you checked Edmunds? You can find dealer incentives there.
Also call around to other Honda dealers everywhere and get the price you want. Pit one dealer against the other. I did that with Toyota and believe me they weren't giving those away. Honda chased me after I was in the dealer for weeks and so did Acura. It's worth it to shop around.
Also, if that's really the car you want decide if the difference in money will make you happier.

Re: Spinoff from my own post - please help me choose a car
We were told at a few different dealers that because of the demand for the new CR-Vs that they could not or rather would not budge on the price.

Re: Spinoff from my own post - please help me choose a car
I had a sedan my entire life and got the new CRV last year. I love this small SUV. So practical. It was redesigned and the space inside seats and truck is so well done. It's not too high so you won't feel like you have to climb to go in the car. The versatiliy of the trunk/carseat makes it such a great vehicle.
I have a hard time driving my other car the sedan. I feel I can't see the road anymore.

The Camry is an AWESOME car. We had one for 7 years and that puppy took us everywhere - it was so reliable, never broke down, handled the road and snow SO well.
