Spinoff: Is your BA relevant to your current job?

I know so many people who have a job that is not even close to what they majored in in college. So I'm just curiousChat Icon

I'm a music teacher, so yes, my music performance degree gets used everydayChat Icon

LOL! Me too!! Although my BA is is psych Im not in the Psych field currently and my BA does nothing nothing really for me, you need a Doctorate to do much of anything or go anywhere in the psych field..

UGH...if I had my BA, no, it wouldn't be relevant since I need a graduate gemologist degree. BUT I need my BA to make more $$. I can't wait to finish school! Chat Icon

Well, technically my BS is in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies (AKA made up by the state of Virginia since you can't 'major' in education).

It's a mish mash of everything.

I do use my minor/MAT in Education every day tho Chat Icon

At first, my BA had nothing to do with computers (my first career). But now, I'm a teacher, so my BA and MSEd are used every day!

pretty much feel the same way with my BA in Sociology.

and consequently, the program i'm in now is technically an A.S program, yet it will do more for me (and make me ALot more $$$) than my BA in psych is Chat Icon Chat Icon

not even close....my degrees are in Criminal Justice and Social Science....I work more in an accounting type field.

The closet I came to using my degrees is marrying a cop
