Spinoff. just so everyone does not panic.. NICK and those other channels are NOT going anywhere
I did call last night when i saw this and I was ASSURED that they will now be going off the air. Someone apparently hacked into the system. they had no clue where the feed was coming from

This is untrue - please keep calling. I'm not sure who the OP spoke with but this is a very real contract issue.

Janet - did you call Cablevision or Time Warner??? The contract issue does NOT affect LI's service, just NYC.
The story is very real, so I am not understanding who you talked to.

I think you are talking about Cablevision, they are running the scroll as well, but it clearly says "Time Warner Cable" and Bright something Cable.

i spoke to someone from time warner. and i was assured it was not going anywhere. i have cablevision and my mom in the city has Time Warner and i made sure that she was not going to be affected. and i was assured that all the channels where not going anywhere

Well by all means complain, I just don't think it's THAT big of a deal (probably because we don't watch a lot of TV here) but again, you are entitled to your opinion as am I.

No one is saying it's the end of the world However, we are all paying X$ for Y service. This is 18 channels, a few of which are something our children enjoy. No one is asking YOU to care, the posts are for those who subscribe through TWC and who care enough to make a call.

It is a LOT more than just the kids channels, it is everything Viacom owns:
VH1
MTV
Comedy Central
Plus another 10-12 channels.
Like someone else said, I doubt your bill will go down, even though you are going to have a lot less channels.
ETA: I'm a Cablevision customer, but it still annoys me, because if they are playing games with Time Warner, it's only a matter of time before Cablevision's deal expires.
