Spinoff to AC question and conserving energy..
does anyone not use the AC at all?
We tend not to and just use fans.

I could live without it. But DH will melt if he doesn't have it on. He wants it on 60-65 at all times.

Re: Spinoff to AC question and conserving energy..
We use our livingroom one most of the time because we are upstairs apt and its very hot and stuffy, plus we have animals that wouldn't be able to deal with that heat.
We only use the bedroom one when we're sleeping if its uncomfortable without.

I try not to during the day but it's hard. Today I just have too.
We use the energy saver function at night so it's not working constantly.

Re: Spinoff to AC question and conserving energy..
I live on the second floor so it's usually warmer, plus I work nights and sleep during the day inbetween shifts. So if I want to rest and perform my job safely, I need to AC during the day.

I am in ga. It is sooooo hot here. We have 2 central acs. One for upstairs and one for down. We always have it on and set between 65-68.

Same here. He would prefer it at 60-65 but we compromise around 70-72.
DD is taking after him too. She does not sleep well unless the bedroom is ice cold.

Re: Spinoff to AC question and conserving energy..
At ngiht, I cannot sleep without it on. I am on medication that raises my body temperature and I can't sleep if I'm roasting. During the day, I'd say we put it on in the livingroom around this time. It actually stays cool in here all mornign and early afternoon, but I guess this time of day, the sun sits on the house.
