Spinoff to advertisement: Pro-life or Pro-choice?

Just curious. Seems like a lot of the women on here are pro-choice.....

I am all for a woman's right to choose.

While I don't think that I would be able to have an abortion myself, I am pro-choice. Who am I to decide for other people what is right for them?

I am pro-choice. And I like to make it clear that pro-choice can mean pro-life, it doesn't necessarily mean you are pro-abortion. It just means that you think a woman should have the right to make that decision for her own body.

Re: Spinoff to advertisement: Pro-life or Pro-choice?

i know i am in the minority here, but i am pro-life and don't mind admitting it. i think it would be wrong for me morally and don't have a problem taking that a step further and saying that it's universally wrong like other things - assault, robbery, murder.

that being said, i do respect other people's opinions that are different than mine and don't believe that the fringe pro-lifers who do wacky stuff to protest are correct in their tactics.

Re: Spinoff to advertisement: Pro-life or Pro-choice?

I can speak for Boosh and myself when I say we are both pro-life

However, that being said, I don't think making it illegal is the answer. I think it's a waste of time arguing something that will never go away.

If you make abortions illegal, you'll increase the instance of back alley procedures with hangers and incidences of babies being found in garbage cans and toilets.

So banning it is not the answer.

So, while you can't really tell people what to do, and it's their right to choose, for US, we just find it horrible when people resort to killing something, that millions of people with IF would kill FOR.

Do we judge people that have had them? No - it's unfortunate that they felt that this was the decision they had to make - but in the end, it's their decision.

What I do think needs to happen is more education about the other options that are available, particularly adoption. Like I said, millions are open to adopting a child that can't have their own. I understand that some people have a hard time getting attached to something for 9 months, giving it away, and having an offspring that they never know. I just have a hard time swallowing killing it, as opposed to allowing it to grow with a family that wants it. But again, you can't make it illegal. I just wish there was an easy middle road.

I am totally pro choice. That being said, this is far too much of a passionate, personal and emotional issue to discuss here. There's no way to talk about this without people getting upset, argumentative (just going by usual form on here; things usually blow up; maybe I'm wrong) or offended....that's just what I think.

I am pro-choice if there is no other option. IMO there is no excuse for it to be used as a contraceptive device.

Agreed. I don't think I could ever go thru with it myself, but I believe every woman (and man) have the right to choose for themselves.
