Spinoff to leggings as pants...
...what about yoga pants?
What do you wear with yoga pants that covers your butt?
I feel like all the long sleeve tees I have are not that long...certainly not long enough to cover my butt.
In the spring and early fall I will wear a short sleeve tee or tank with them- and still it doesn't cover my butt.
But I love to run errands on weekends in yoga pants. So comfy and easy.
What is the word on yoga pants- should they not be worn in public?
Do you find long tops for them?
I'm really curious now!

I wear yoga pants all the time and I just don't care if people can see my butt. People who like to be offended will find something to be offended about regardless if I wear, say or do the right thing, so I just do what I like and what I am comfortable with.

Thanks girls. I am wearing yoga pants today with a long sleeved tee. My butt is NOT covered by any means. But it's Saturday and I am running errands, running around chasing DD,etc. And to be honest, I don't think my ass showing is all that offensive. I mean what if I was wearing a tight skirt or dress or work pants with a tucked in or shorter shirt? My butt shows in those too right?

This.
I am also wearing leggings myself today, with boots, a long tank that covers my butt and a long-sleeve tee. I had a puffy vest over it when I was out earlier.
Between Old Navy and the mall, there were a TON of women in a similar outfit, so I think as long as you are covering your personal areas, you are fine. This is totally appropriate weekend wear IMO.

Just another thought on this. I bet if you asked the average guy their thoughts on yoga pants they would NOT be saying they think the ass needs to be covered. Just sayin'!:  :

I agree. 
I was out a few times running errands last weekend and had on a similar outfit and I could totally tell a couple of men were checking me out. I smiled inside because it let me know I must still have something.

I wear yoga pants out on the weekends. I have long sleeve and short sleeve shirts from Old Navy that cover the butt

Curvy girls aren't allowed to wear yoga pants???
I think this is the problem with some people wearing leggings and it has nothing to do with body type... People buy cheapie leggings and they are SEE THROUGH. Which is why when just wearing leggings it's probably a good idea to wear a top that covers your rear end. I don't think this is really a common problem with yoga pants so it doesn't matter if you're covering or not.

Both pics came up in a search for yoga pants, but it's totally possible that the second pair are leggings. I just didn't think it looked acceptable bc they look skin tight.. I agree that she does have a great figure, though.

IMO, yoga pants and leggings are different because yoga pants tend to be thicker and while they are generally form fittingish, they aren't skin tight.

I wear yoga pants all the time. I don't cover my butt whatever I wear VS Pink yoga pants to run errands, around the house etc. they are comfy and easy...
eta: the post with the two pics the only difference is that one girl is curvy then the other. See through tights/leggings are one thing but yoga pants IMO are finE and if your ass looks good in them...good for you

I have never thought twice about leaving the house in yoga pants. I did this morning. My ass was not covered. Who am I kidding -they were actually assless leggings.

Love yoga pants - and I've never thought about whether or not my butt is covered. I normally put on a tank top and something on top so it usually covers about 25% of my butt, but otherwise I don't pay much attention to it. I love how they look and they're so comfy to run around in and do errands. They're my best friend on weekends!

Y'all just made me run to the bathroom to make sure my leggings are acceptable!!!! lol I never gave it a second thought and is it ok that I still call them "stretchies"?? I usually wear a longer tank under a shirt but some of my butt still shows. Oh well.........
As far as the two pics above, I thought they were both fine. Maybe someone else can explain this better for me....as long as they are not see through, what's the big deal?
