If I have my choice I want another girl so that Sydney can have a sister to grow up with. DH wants a boy. Of course all that really matters is that he or she is healthy.

same story over here!

I will always want a boy after losing my son but if we are blessed with only happy little girls like Victoria I will consider myself one of the luckiest women on the boards Chat Icon

Do I REALLY care? No. Would I like Ava to have a sister to grow up with like I did? It wouldn't be a bad thingChat Icon

DH told me the only thing better than having his one little girl would be to have two little girls.Chat Icon

I have a sister and would love to have a sister for Ainsley - but I would love a little boy as well - oh well, as long as the baby is happy and healthy.

Re: Spinoff to my own post - Do you care what your second child is

I will be honest, I want a girl.

I originally didnt care how many kids I had, as long as I maybe got one of each eventually. That has changed after my PG from hell. I not only have to spend $$$ and pray a lot to get PG if Im blessed to get PG again someday ( not a given) but I have an 85% chance of hyperemesis again and its a sure form of torture...so I SOOOOO want a girl...I so want a brother for Noah too but God, I could honestly cry over not only how hard it is to get PG but what its like when I am, and I just wish it were easier.

OMG..Im getting off my whiny box right now..Sorry Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'll be honest- I REALLY wanted a boy. When we found out we were having a girl, I was shocked. That said- OMFG I LOOOOOOOOOOVE having a girl.

Now- I think I really want another girl!!!! BUT I would be as equally thrilled with a boy.

Re: Spinoff to my own post - Do you care what your second child is

I wanted a boy and I had DS. I thought I wanted another boy for # 2 but I am not sure anymore if I care or not.

In one way, I have DS' clothes. But that's not that important. His baby furniture is white so I could use again for either boy or girl.

I guess I am being open minded maybe because I feel I had the little boy I wanted.

i would love another girl so olivia has a sister close in age and also becuase then we can go on for a third and hopefully get a boy- but if this baby is a boy then i would be happy too and want a third either was so we have two of the same sex.

Re: Spinoff to my own post - Do you care what your second child is

I would really like for Ava to have a sister. I asked for a sister every Christmas.

Even now, there are so many times that my mind wanders thinking about all of the things that I could do with a sister.

A boy would be nice too. All of my friends say they are less maintenance than girls... I wonder..

Re: Spinoff to my own post - Do you care what your second child is

before having Ella, I was worried about only having boys. I always wanted a girl.

Now that I have my girl, I'd love a boy or another girl. I feel like I can't go wrong, I'd love E to have a sister, and I'd also love to have a son (as would Al).

I think if we have another girl, a third is more likely. If we have one of each, a third is optional.

I wanted a girl in the worst way. Now that I have my boy and my girl, I can honestly say that I am done having kids. Obviously if I somehow got pregnant again (Chat Icon ) it would be a blessing, but I am happy right now. If DD was a boy, I might have wanted to try for a girl.

I always wanted one of each, but when I found out with twins, I really wanted them to be boys. I thought that same sex would be great, and worried about having identical twin teenage girls, LOL.

I could not imagine having two little boys. If we decided to have another I would love another boy, but I don't think that is happening.

Re: Spinoff to my own post - Do you care what your second child is

I have to say, I never considered myself a "boy mom", but once DS1 came along I came to appreciate them and learn all that is fun about having a boy!

I am not going to lie, I wanted a girl for our second and ended up with another DS. I adore him and he is the sweetest, cuddliest boy ever. I wouldn't change a thing now, and I love seeing my boys play together as brothers and enjoy the bond I already see they have.

We're going to try for one more, and of course I really do want a girl, pretty badly. Experience has taught me I would be happy as a clam with another boy, but it would be fun to have something different.Chat Icon

In theory I would love a little girl, but in actuality, I think I would be even happier with another boy.
