Spinoff to pajamas question
How often to you wash your kid's bath towel? My kids bathe every other night, my son sometimes more often if he has sports. I was the towels once a week. I'm just curious if those that are giving fresh pajamas every night also give a fresh towel. I can only imagine how much laundry some people must have!

After everybath but that is because we only have one bathroom and zero space to hang towels plus I do laundry almost every night so I just toss it in.

DD gets a fresh towel after it’s used two or three times, same as DH and I. I wash all our towels once a week.

Re: Spinoff to pajamas question
They throw towels on the pile of laundry after every bath. My older one bathes almost every day because he plays 2 sports each season and comes home filthy after practice or games. I'm doing laundry anyway a few times per week during sports seasons and we have lots of towels. I don't wash my towels nearly as often.

LMAO I once used a towel for so long it ran down the hall and jumped into the hamper itself.
But to be serious, you use a towel on a clean, freshly showered body. I hang mine up and use all week. After a while I would imagine it might start smelling mildewy so yeah, once a week.

She gets a new one every few days. Not a new one every night. We don't have enough towels for that!

Yes & my kids each use 2 towels per bath so I definitely can't be washing them after one use or I'd have to wash them constantly even though they have a lot of towels. They use the towels a few times, then I wash it.

Spinoff to pajamas question
this thread is even more interesting than the PJ one. Correct me if I'm wrong. People have their kids change PJ everyday, wash the PJ everyday and own 10 + pair, BUT bath towels can be used 2,3,4 times before they get a new one??? confused as to why the towel can be used so many times but PJ cant lol

Both pajamas and towels get 2-3 uses before washing in my house. Towels, sometimes more.

You do not sweat on your bath towel. Also, less chance of bodily fluids or food getting on the bath towel.
That said we usually use bath towels a couple of times in our house. We have way more towels than PJs but I do laundry 2-3 times a week.

I do a new towel after each use and each baby has their own towel... maybe I should start letting them go a wash or two!

I tend to wash the baby's towel after every bath just because it's really small anyway. And my dd's towel probably gets washed every week, or some times more frequently when I find it crumpled up on her floor.

Several times! Clean body = no a germ infested towel. Unless your child has skin problems like mollescum, etc. I would then use them once! I use my own towels several times (one for hair, one for body). Washing towels is my favorite thing to wash though....they are easy to fold and put away

Spinoff to pajamas question
The 4 year old uses the same towel for about a week. The baby gets a new towel with each bath. The 4 year old usually also wears her pjs 2-3x before washing. The baby gets a fresh pair each night. Baby likes to drool and drools breast milk on her pajamas.
