Now I really want to watch Six Feet Under. I never watched it (no HBO), like not even one episode. Now I feel like I need to rent it. Was the whole series good, or was it just a particularly well written finale?
I liked the whole series. It definitely took bizarre turns and points, but overall it was an amazing show.
I liked it, too. I fell off watching it around the middle of season 3 but heard such good things about the last season that I picked it back up again. It was worth it.

Dawson's Creek. Yes I know Im 34 and that is the first one that popped into my mind. I love the finale cause I was a Joey and Pacey fan.

I remember waking up to my parents screaming at the finale of St. Elswhere.
Apparently the whole show was based on the imagination of a kid looking through a snow globe.
They were soooo pi$$ed 
I was too - the series was great and this was a total letdown.
I am old judging by the responses.....my favorite finale was M*A*S*H

MASH was great - I remember sitting there crying with my mom (to be honest that is ALL I remember at the moment, but I know I loved it.)
Newhart had a great ending.
and Mad About You I think was probably my favorite.

My favorite was Dawson's Creeek. I loved that they fast forwarded 5 years, so we all knew where they ended up

Six feet under was awesome. I also stopped watching after 3rd season or so, but I did see the finale.
Sex in the city, another great one. Sad to see that end.
Dexter is going to be big once that finally ends. Hope not to see that for another few years at least!

Seinfeld...they didn't learn a damn thing after seeing everyone paraded through the courtroom and they might as well have been sitting in the diner and not a jail cell.
90210....it started with David and Donna and it was only right that it ended with them
The Tudors was really great too...him seeing the ghosts of his wives and being without Charles was awesome.

SATC, for sure.
I wish I had stuck it out with Six Feet Under. I watched the first season, then I couldn't keep up with the second season and just gave up. Hmmm time to pick it up again...I love Alan Ball.

SATC & Friends - I cried at both the series finales and the episodes that preceded them just because I knew they were ending.
I'm very interested in watching Six Feet Under now!
ETA: Whenever it happens, I'm most looking forward to How I Met Your Mother's series finale!

I have never seen anything so beautifully written and portrayed on the scene before. And when I watch it on You Tube or catch it on HBO I still cry like a baby.
With each character, no matter how or when they died you had a peaceful closure if that makes any sense....

OMG, I forgot about this one!!! I remember how MAD some people were about it though. I personally loved it. RIP Dan Conner.

 Double G! I'm such a huge fan of that show. Remember when Bea kept coming back into the house to say goodbye? She did that and said all those wonderful things on her own, she ad-libed everything. It makes me teary every time because she really meant every word she said.
