Spinoff to yogurt question. When did you start...

When did you start:
Puffs
Meats
Pastina
Eggs (yolks)
Cheese
What other dairy products other than cheese?
Other finger foods? (give ex please bc Idk any finger foods! Chat Icon)

I dont go back until the ped until 8 months. He said until then I could just start meats around 7 months and I could make his pureed foods a little thicker. According to other people when they see me feed him, they think my food is already thick Chat Icon. I'm thinking if I could try to give him very small pieces of fruit cut up. He's 6 months old.

Re: Spinoff to yogurt question. When did you start...

Puffs around 8 mths
Meats around 10 mths, because i didnt give pureed meats
Pastina i tried around 8/5 mths, but she was not interested, so we skipped it. other pasta around 9-10 mths.
Eggs (yolks) 8 or 9 mths. i started whites at 9 months with ped's ok. i thought he'd make me wait til one year
Cheese 8 mths- same time as yogurt
What other dairy products other than cheese? whole milk at 11.5 mths
Other finger foods? by 9 mths i was experimenting with finger food. i would try a variety, see how she took it, and go from there. examples are muffins (I started w corn because i thought it crumbled really easily), bread, waffles, pancakes, teething biscuits (these made me nervous and i tried once around 9 months and then not again until around 11 months), blackberries and raspberries at 11 mths, cereal bars around 10 mths. she had her first cookie around 11 mths. pretty much anything i didnt think was a choking hazard i started around 9-12 months.

Re: Spinoff to yogurt question. When did you start...

Puffs around 7 months but they are not really interested.
Meats my ped said to start at 7 months but I started around 7.5 months.
Cheese/yogurt/eggs/other dairy he wants me to wait until 9 months.
Pastina I haven't tried yet but will soon. They are 8 months next week.
Other finger foods - other than frozen pieces of whole fruit in the mesh bags I haven't done anything else.

I tried homemade chicken/potato/squash mixture last night that I didn't puree, just mashed and chopped the chicken up super small. DS of course started choking so into the food processor it went. I guess they aren't ready for that yet.
