Spinoff: What Makes You A Good Mommy.

I can tell that so many of you are fantastic parents from the things you say and post - but why don't you toot your horn a little and tell me why you think you are a good mommy? I would rather hear about the good moms than the rotten ones!

I would sacrafice anything for my dd

I live to make her happy

I spend time with her and try to teach her to do the right thing

I love her unconditionally

I show her that I am not perfect

I try and pick my battles

I don't freak out about every bump and fall

I want him to experience as much as possible - even if it might be scary for me

I encourage him to be independent

I have no expectations for him other than I want him to be happy with who he is and what he does

I believe that if he has that inner fire in him stoked, then whatever he does he will always be who he is - confident, happy, and wonderful

I want better for my children. I want my children to be child and not have to carry the weight of adult worries on their shoulders. It might not sound like a lot to some but to me it's a huge deal.

I make sure they are safe, happy, fed and most of all loved to no end.

Aside from loving him unconditionally with every ounce of my being, and would sacrifice ANYTHING for him.

I think my other good qualities are:

That I put myself on his level- I'm the first to dance around the house and on the furniture to the wiggles, dress up with him on holidays, and generally put on my "seeing through the eyes of a child" glasses and do things with him as his buddy.

I try to communicate my feelings with him, and he with me. We share alot of emotion and affection in everything we do.

I generally enjoy being with my child, it sounds so basic- but there are so many parents who would rather be on a date night- kid free; than be cuddling on the couch with their child. (Im not talking about those who go out once and blue moon- either) No matter how much time we spend together, I can never get enough. I never finding myself wanting to be anywhere else, than with him.

I encourage him with every step he takes, and am always amazed when he learns something new. Im so proud of the little boy he is, and the personality he is growing into.

He is the center of my universe, my son KNOWS that in ever a time of need- he needs nothing more than to extend his hand, and mine will be there to hold on and guide him though whatever need be!!!

I feel I would give anthing for my dd and the MOST important thing in life to me is that she feels loved.

My son is my life.

He gets my unconditional love.

I play with him and sing to him every day.

As he's learning to walk, I understand he'll fall down sometimes and don't freak out when it happens.

I'm far from perfect and don't expect him to be perfect either.

He's well fed.

He's in a routine that works for him and us.

I take him to the doctor when he's sick.

I don't compare him to or try to one-up other children just to make myself feel or look better.

He will grow up knowing how much he is loved and how important he is to me and my husband.

one BIG thing

I am a sahm to twinboys! i am with them bymyself from 7am to 11pm 6 days a week and i still make sure we get out at least 4 days a week to a store mall park playgroup. (and there not strapped down to a stroller)

everything else feeding, caring, loving etc.. i just do because they are my little miracle angels!!

DD saved my life and I can't ever repay her for that. In light of that fact I make sure that I tell her how much I love her and I vow not to make the same mistakes with her that my parents made with me.

I would starve if it meant that she was fed.

I would freeze if it meant that she was warm.

I would die if it meant that she would live.

There is nothing I wouldn't do for her and I'm unbelievably thankful for her. She'll always know that I'm always on her side and that's the best thing I can do to help her understand how important she is to me.
