spit up

We've been giving Ryan Isomil because he was having some gas issues when we first went from BM to formula..

He's been fine since..but he does spit up alot more...Alot not meaning quantityspit up...but more frequently...

Its not a large amount at all...and hes not stressing over it...but he seems to be spitting up after ever feeding...

I did switch to the level 2 nipples...and he is doing so well w/ them...no more falling asleep while eating!!!

How do i know its not reflux...or if its normal...??

Re: spit up

it could be from the level 2 nipples...maybe he is gulping more at one time?

I don't know if this is similar..but when I am really engourged and I feed Talia she spits up a lot more afterwards because she overdrank since my milk is flowing more - does that make sense?

Re: spit up

you could also try a diffrent brand of nipples if you find that hes still spitting up. each brand is slightly diffrent. i tried 2 diffrent brands before i found the right one. isabella was spitting up alot (well it seemed like alot to me!) after feedings. then at the next feeding she was starving because she spit up too much the feeding before. so i backed down the ozs for a little bit until she wasnt spitting up much and then tried a little bit more. i went in 1/2 oz incrimints (sp?) sometimes i think you need to be a rocket scientist to have a baby. the amout of stuff you need to figure out is amazing!! but as i have learned it is all trial and error.

If you just switched nipples and you are increasing his formula. Then I would wait it out a week or so and see if it gets better. His little tummy needs to get used to holding more and at a faster speed.

Re: spit up

If he isn't getting upset, and its small volumes, it sounds very normal to me.
