I thought Pataki was the Governor of NY???
What is Gov. Spitzer the governor of? Albany? Wouldn't that be Pataki? I"m just a little confused.
But this guy is a pig and I hope his wife leaves him.

There was an election two years ago. Pataki decided not to see an additional term in 2006.

Pataki stepped down at the end of his last term and New Yorkers voted Spitzer to be our new governor. He's in his first term.

he apologized to his family and to the public.
he let himself down and did not uphold the standards set forth before him (or something whatever)
"politics is not about individuals. it's about policy and the public good"
he is not going anywhere. 
What about criminal reprecussions? What he did was illegal, I am assuming. Is he being investigated?
(Sorry, didn't get to see the conference...)

Fox News is saying "sources" have told them he's been indicted. But Greta van Sustern said she needs to read the incidment herself. She said he's a smart guy and knows the law, that she likes him but feels no pity for him regarding this.

Pataki was Governor of NY 1995-2006.

Smart guys who know the law can still break it. If there's evidence of illegal activity, the man should be indicted.

Is solicitation a felony?? I don't think so. If it's a misdemeanor....I am not sure even being charged with solicitation is an impeachable offense if it's a misdemeanor.

Not sure about NY criminal laws, but pandering (procurement) is a felony in many states.
