Really? I am not a Spitzer fan at all, but I think Patterson will be worse. He's far more liberal than even Spitzer and has been very open about wanting to increase taxes.
(Granted, this is b/c I'm relatively conservative. Others may see Patterson as a good thing!)

Look at it this way. We would only be stuck with him for two years. If the Republicans can put together a half-way decent candidate then Paterson won't be there for long.

Oh, I agree. I think we all do. That, in a nutshell, is about all I know about him... that and that he is legally blind and that that at some point his father ran for governor. (I just didn't mention these two tidbits b/c they have no bearing on his qualifications or me liking or not liking him!)

I think Spitzer was doing his fair share in raising the tax burden for down state NY.

From what I saw I didn't think she looked too shocked. And was standing so close to him almost like a protector standing over him.
Remember McGreedy's wife...she looked stunned and drugged just to stand up there with him. At a distance.
