The way I read the article stated that Spitzer would be charged with a felony since he allegedly travelled with the hooker in btw states with the intent of paying for s e x.
Precisely. So because there was transport across state lines for the purpose of paying for s e x, it is federal, according to one of the articles I just read (they are whizzing all around the internet already). It is a law from 1901 it looks like that makes the transport a federal felony.

My feelings regarding the call for his resignation is based in how he has chosen to build his legal and political career. He has been very aggressive in prosecuting and going after others for incidents much less then this. It the hypocrisy that it getting to a lot of people, imo. He has used going after people personally to force large settlements and such.

thanks. I was behind but also just floored. Not at the specific poster, but at the fact that more people than we know probably know the top 12 on American Idol by name and where they are from than who is the Governor of our state...and that's sad to me.
