Split-wall painting colors (chair rail)
I am renovating my basement and will be putting up a chair rail molding all around the basement. The basement is on the large side and I am creating a relatively open-floor plan. I am painting the entire basement the same color since it is open and am leaning towards two-toned paint colors...the lighter shade on the top, darker on the bottom. So let's say I want greens for example, I'm looking for a lighter green on the top piece and the darker on the bottom.
If anyone has any pictures of this type of painting to show me, please post them so I can see :) I just said green as an example, feel free to post ANY colors :) TIA

Re: Split-wall painting colors (chair rail)
there is a picture in my album of my bedroom at our old house.. we used 2 different behr green colors, with a chair rail... we always got compliments on it! It was 4 years ago, and we don't live there anymore.. so i couldn't tell ya the color names, but you can at least see how it looks. we didn't do it in our new bedroom because its set up differently, and wouldn't have looked right...

Re: Split-wall painting colors (chair rail)
I have pictures in my album. We did this in our dining room. We picked Sheerwood Green (BM). We used that color on the bottom and then had the store add 50% white to another can to do the top. We also did a chairrail in our nursery but did manchester tan on top and hawthorne yellow on the bottom (pics in my album too).
