my friend's husband's has these. They come and go but are very debilating. He used a pure oxygen tank in the house for a while and that seemed to ease some of the pain

Oh Lori, I'm SO sorry!! Did your Dad suffer from Migraines previously? Did this just come on out of nowhere?
As you probably know, I suffer from debilitating migraines that I give myself injections for. I've been to headache clinics and seen several neurologists. I've contemplated taking anti-seizure medication which is thought to help, and now research is even showing that botox injections can be used to treat them. I've done accupuncture and that didn't really help....I've tried something called "trigger point therapy" and that didn't really help either...
As Colleen said - it's pretty much a waiting game....which is AWFUL for everyone involved. While I'm happy it's nothing life threatening, I know that in the midst of a migraine you actually WANT to die...
What are they giving him for the pain???
