SPR: How exhausted are YOU? Tell a funny story :)

I am so exhausted that for 2 weeks my poor cat, who usually eats (and hates) his "weight control" Iams food, has been eating "weight control" dog food, and i had NO CLUE why hes been meowing at me so annoyingly everytime i pass his food dish...



omg, the poor thing.

no wonder hes been barking

i fell asleep a few weeks ago - feeding Emma. She was on the boppy lounger and i was leaning over her. I woke up to hear dave HYSTERICAL laughing.....he told me that she was kicking the living daylights out of my face - and i had no idea...

When DS was an infant and we were in the heart of sleep deprivation, I fell asleep on the couch one night snuggled up with a stuffed panda bear that I had.

I woke up and DH asked me where DS was (he had fallen asleep too). I replied with "he's right here" and proceeded to kiss the stuffed panda bear.

Obviously I was not fully aware of what was going on and thought the stuffed bear was DS!!!

When DS was an infant and we were in the heart of sleep deprivation, I fell asleep on the couch one night snuggled up with a stuffed panda bear that I had.

Well let's see...

I've made washes without putting clothes in the washing machine. Hey - at least my washing machine is clean!

I've made dinner without putting food in the oven (or completely forgot to turn the oven on and then wondered why an hour later my food was still cold)

I've made phone calls to people I never actually called!

One night i went to pick up ds from his crib and I had walked that route a thousand times. Sure enough all of a sudden something smacked me in the face hard. Blood started pouring out of my nose and I am screaming in pain. DH comes running to find that I have walked into the meal door and broke my nose. Granted it wasn't funny at the time. It was quite ugly and painful for many weeks but now when we talk about it we laugh really hard.

Ok, mine is gross but Idont care.

The other night 4 am, DS woke up. I was changing him in the dark half asleep, he peed all over me. I driedmy hands on his chaging table and climbed right back into bed.


FYI. I washed all the above sheets that morning, but 4 am hand washing was out.

I think I almost spoonfed duck sauce to Abby because I wasn't paying attention to where I put her spoon when I was feeding her.

I wrote this yesterday, but I started changing DS and as I took his diaper off he started to pee so I quickly closed his diaper only to splash some pee all over DS face. RIght after I cleaned him up I went to put nasal drops in his nose b/c he sounded stuffed and some drops got by his mouth... I fed my kid pee and nasal spray all in one changing

During the first few months I managed to throw away several pieces of our flatware and 2 or our steak knives.

We were using paper plates so I think we just tossed it all into the garbage.

When DD was an inant, DS was 20 months. He wanted chocolate milk, so instead of putting the powder in his milk, I put formula. I gave him the cup and he started gagging and threw up. I don't miss the sleep deprived days AT ALL!

I filled the bottle with water only to find that I didn't put the playtex drop-in in the bottle first. Water everywhere.

Walked out the door with 2 color flip flops on, and got half-way down the block before realizing.

Got into my car for work then realized I forgot my bra. Had to go back inside for it.

Went to pump the last pump of the day. All of a sudden I was feeling warm liquid all over me. I forgot to put the bottle part onto the shield part. The milk just went threw the shield and right on to me

With my first I didn't have as many of these because I did try to "nap when he napped". With the second of course, all bets were off because DS was no longer napping...

- I was craving a yogurt smoothie, so I whipped one up in the blender. When it was done, instead of just lifting the blender off the base, I UNSCREWED the glass container, thus letting the entire contents of the blender gush out the bottom. There was smoothie all over the counter, the floor, plus it got into the mechanism in the base of the blender.

- I was letting DS watch Thomas while newborn DD napped in the bouncy. I fell asleep sitting straight up on the sofa, and was finally awaken by DS poking my face going "WAKE UP MOMMY!"

DH leaves really early for work. When he would come and say goodbye, if I was sleeping, I would fly up and say "WHERE'S THE BABY???"

I meant to put butter in the fridge, but I left it on the counter and put our foil in there. DH found it much later, he was like, why is this in here

I hit a parked car (DC was not in the car) , and I just couldn't believe I did something so stupid! Had to go to security and tell them what happened

When DD was an infant I can't tell you how many times I almost scooped formula into my coffee instead of sugar.

Here's one about DH. He was making DS's Formula when he over filled the bottle and instead of just dumping it in the sink he had the instant reaction to sip the additional that was spilling. ALl of a sudden i hear, gagging, choking, and Literally WRETCHING in the kitchen. I laughed so hard I almost PEED

I was sooo exhausted with her bc she's teething, that today I napped with her, haven't done that in forever, and yesterday ran a stop sign on my block that has been there forever cop pulls me over and I tell him I'm taking the baby to the ped, which I soooo wasn't, was going shopping with her and he let me go

I've fallen asleep on my DC's floor while waiting for them to finish a bottle when they were younger(yes I was a bottle proper)

I've given them the Dr Browns bottles without the insert so they got milk all over them
