ugh
As you already know, that situation was completely beyond your control. you didn't fail your family in any way... it was just bad luck and the economy sneaking up on you....
try to make lemonade from these lemons, and enjoy the extra time with DC while you job hunt

I am going to FM you later tonight when I can actually type without DS haning on me!
But I wanted to say hang in there I was laid off too, felt HORRIBLE but in the end its not so bad to be able to spend more time at home!
Try to enjoy it while it lasts! And hopefully you will find a new job soon!

I am so sorry.
My DH was laid off in October, but thankfully he now has a new job. It was hard, but the unemployment checks definitely helped.
I hope you are able to find a new job soon!
