Sprinkle Question

My sister is due with DD #2 in a few months and I am thinking about throwing her a sprinkle. She just had DD #1 in Summer 2013 so she does not really need a lot of stuff - probably just a double stroller.

It would most likely just be immediate family at the sprinkle (our siblings and parents). My sister ALWAYS goes above and beyond for everyone so I would love to help her celebrate her next DD. I would not invite extended family (our aunts and uncles, cousins) because this is baby #4 in 15 months for my family.

Thoughts?

I've been to sprinkle's before. I say invite your extended family-aunts and cousins.

I had one for my sister in law, I invited close family and very close friends. I labeled it as a luncheon in celebration of baby girl XXX

I personally think all babies have the right to be celebrated.

I think it is a great idea! The way I see it, close family and friends are always happy to celebrate one another. Why not have a celebration for a new arrival! I would invite close family and close friends.

We just had one over the summer for my sister. We ended up just inviting a few close friends and family (co-ed). Our side is rather small so we invited the few cousins/aunts/uncles that are still on the Island. And limited the aunts/uncles and cousins on her hubby's side. We made it more of a BBQ type get together.

We had everyone bring a package of diapers in all different sizes.
