Do you live in Nassau? If so go on mynassauproperty.com-Find your house-it tells you somewhere on there

Re: square footage
If it's relatively square/rectangular, you can measure the outside length and width and multiply, and get a rough estimate. x2 for two stories.
If the house has odd shapes, then it's not quite that easy, but you can still do it. Just break it down into multiple rectangles.

Re: square footage
Did you happen to get a copy of the appraisal when you purchased the home? If so, it should list it in there.

Re: square footage
You paid for the appraisal/inspection and you should have a copy of it for your records.

Your Lawyer should have it or did you use a Mrtg Broker? Either one should have a copy.

Re: square footage
How to Calculatae Sq. Footage
or
link 2
you would probably have to use the first method to calculate your square footage since you said it's a split level. Only take measures of rooms that are living space. So if you have a boiler or laundry room, you don't count that as living space. HTH!
