Started having contractions and they stopped -- WTF?!?!

I was due this past Tuesday, 4/28 -- had an appointment on Wed (2cm dilated, 80% effaced) -- had an appointment today, Fri (3cm dilated, 80% effaced) -- OB stripped my membranes to hopefully get the ball rolling. This happened around 10:30AM. By 2pm, I started to have what I definitely think were contractions -- started as heavy/intense lower back pain, then moved to the front of my stomach which would then harden. They lasted for about 1 minute to 1:30, but were still pretty far apart (13ish minutes). This lasted for about 2 hours and then outta nowhere everything just stopped. No contractions, no pain, nothing. Has this happened to anyone before?!?!? I thought for sure that this was it -- I got excited that I'd be heading to the hospital sometime tonight/early tomorrow AM and now I'm bummed.

P.S. If one more person asks me where this baby is and when she is coming I am gonna punch them in the face. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest......

This happened with my ds1. I was 3cm 90% efaced and the dr was like I probably won't see you for your next appointment. I started having contractions or so I thought. They weren't terribly painful but I was so sure this was it I stayed up almost all night timing them! Then they stopped lol I ended up being induced at 41 weeks hahah the waiting is terrible

Are you me? I could have written this. Only difference, this has been happening every few days for last 3 weeks. Also I was in "labor" from 3-7 today.

I had my daughter naturally, I know the fake vs real. This is so frustrating!

First time they stripped me mine were far apart. I was hopeful because i was already 4cm. Second time I was stripped an hour later they were 5 min apart and I went to hospital for delivery

This actually happened to me when I checked into the hospital to be induced. I checked in on Thursday night and they were monitoring everything since I was getting induced the next morning. I had consistent contractions every few minutes for about an hour or so then they just tapered off.

Im sorry that is so frustrating. People dont know when to shut their mouths i agree one more person askes me why im still pregnant im going to go postal.
