Starting the process
Well here I go. Last night Feb. 23rd I started my shots for IVF. The menopur hurt more than Gonal F. I know these shots are going to be annoying but if it brings us our baby all won't matter in the end! I will update as I get closer to the egg retrieval but they are thinking right now it will be March 4th or 5th but could change depending on how my body reacts to the meds. Will keep you all updated! Thank you all again for your wonderful support through this rough time, I truly do appreciate all of you sharing your stories with me and giving me positive vibes!!

I hated the menopur too, Gonal was def easier. It'll become second nature soon and hopefully well worth it with ending in a healthy baby. Best of luck, we are here if you need anything!

Today I had a horrible headache one of the worst I have ever had and I don't get headaches often. I know I just started taking the shots last night, could that be why I have such a bad headache today?

Yep, retrieved 10 eggs, 8 mature, 7 fertilized. All 7 made it to day 3 and we've cryo-preserved them for PGS.

I'm only one week ahead of you! They are not as bad, although I haven't had the ones in the butt yet lol. But the menopur does burn. But remember its only for a short time and then hopefully you will have a baby in your arms from this whole process! Good luck to you as well!!

Thank you!! I have injected my self before with Orvidril (sp?) it wasnt that bad, yea the butt one haha eek!
