Re: Still feeling the baby at 30 weeks

From my experience, the craziest time for movement is like 32-37 weeks. That was always my experience. I'm having my third child and I can say right now (33 wks) in INSANE. I know the movement will slow a bit as he grows out of room to roll around...

I'm almost 39 weeks and although it's different movement (not crazy kicks, mostly shifting around now) I still feel this kid constantly!

i'm 33 weeks and TONS of movement.

i was told last week at my appt that it isn't true you should expect to stop feeling movement so much at the end - it just becomes a different kind of movement.

but 30 weeks ... you still have a lot of time to go.

I never heard that you shouldn't feel the baby as it gets bigger. That makes no sense. I was still feeling the baby sitting on the operating table waiting for my c-section!

I had heard that you don't feel it as much "...because they run out of room."

But my midwives said no that's absolutely not true...if you've been feeling lots of movement throughout the pregnancy you should still be feeling it no matter how far along you are...it will just be ...different feeling. That if you were to stop feeling it, make sure you call your dr.

I think they mean that the baby runs out of room towards the end, so you won't feel those big movements anymore. Basically, the baby doesn't have room to flip around and have big kicks. But you will ABSOLUTELY still feel the baby right up until the end!

Re: Still feeling the baby at 30 weeks

I think everyone/pregnancy is different.....

with my 1st DD, I never felt her kick, or move, I honestly was terrified the entire pregnancy b/c of it... I never had morning sickness or any symptoms of pregnancy... BELIEVE ME SHE MAKES UP FOR THE BOUNCING AND JUMPING AROUND NOW THOUGH!

With this pregnancy, I started feeling everything at like 18-20 weeks... I also had horrible morning /all day sickness for 6 weeks, and also now get cramping from walking long distances or up and down hills... I am 28 weeks on Monday and I still feel her kicking all the time.

Its crazy how different each pregnancy is!
