Still having sleeping issues with Miki - advice needed
SO miki has been a terrible sleeper for the past 6 months or so
she sleeps with the door open cause she began to freak out when I close the door
our night goes something like this
8pm - put miki into bed
between 8:01 - 10pm ish - miki cries for me, asks me to come in 1,245 times to get her water, read her a book, turn on the music, turn off the music, etc
She seems to be scared if she does not hear me (she will call out to me in the living room) and I try to reassure her that I am there but it is time for bed
my nights are so stressful and I need a solution
anyone?
This am I told her that if she went to bed well tonight (no screaming, no calling out to me a million times and staying in bed), that she could have a sticker for her chart (this seems to usually work for her) and all she said was "sorry mommy"

Keep going with the chart- that's what we did to end the nighttime battle. He would have good nights and bad nights, but eventually he got it. AFter every 5 stickers I would take him to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Figure out what Miki really likes as a treat and use that as a bribe, I mean positive reinforcement.

Also I would put the chart on her wall or door so she can see it Refer to it you know.

Does she get out of bed or just call for you from her room?

is she still napping during the day?? This sounds like what Teddy was going through. Turns out he needed to drop his nap. Now we put him in bed and 15 minutes later he is passed out. It use to be hours of fighting him to go to sleep.

I think she's just pushing/testing...Gracelyn was an excellent sleeper & the last 3 months or so she's started the same....mommy, my music stopped; mommy what are you doing (calling out to me in LR), mommy, I need milk; mommy I want one more story; mommy, I messed myself up (her covers are off).
I go in once after putting her down & tell her, that's it, mommy's not coming back in, that its very late & she needs to get to sleep. She has a sticker chart too (it worked for a while) & its on the fridge (I like the idea on her door/wall though so she can see it).
Usually this is all it takes; other nights she calls out (but won't come out), so I just ignore her & after 10 minutes she's quiet.
ETA: she too used to sleep w/ the blinds closed & door closed & lately wants the blinds cracked (so she can "see the moon") & her door wide open.

Does she get out of bed or just call for you from her room? both...MOST times she will call for me but If I do not answer, she will sometimes come out of her room to look for me

She does not nap on the weekends (if she is in the car though, she will fall asleep)
She does nap at daycare (for about 45 minutes)
