Stopping PIO

When did you stop PIO? Last week, they told me to take half the dosage I had been taking. I just got the call from my RE and they said I no longer have to take the shots. I am also being released to my ObGyn. Excited to stop them, but nervous at the same time. Based on my ER and ET dates, I am 8 weeks 2 days. Based on my sonogram yesterday, I am 8 weeks 3 days.

I just had to go back and check. It's amazing how all of this becomes a blur after you're on the other side. I stopped at 10 weeks I think. Towards the end I was doing a shot every other day.

Thanks. I read a scientific article on it and it said to stop at 8 weeks was fine. The scientific study actually had woman stop at 5 weeks and 8 weeks and found there was no increase in miscarriage when they stopped at 5 weeks, but there was more bleeding. I see my regular ObGyn on Wednesday.

I just stopped at 12.5 weeks. I was told to stop at 12 weeks but I was on 2 supp and 1 injection a day so I decided it made sense to wean down rather than stop abruptly so I stayed on and lowered dose of the course of a couple extra days.

I started tapering at 10 weeks and stopped completely at 12 weeks. I still continued with crinone until 14 weeks. They monitored my numbers every day and let me stop when they felt they were stable (they never got really high unless I was on the PIOs). I know that it's scary to stop but if they're telling you to do it now you must have great numbers!
