I would have your Dh call and say sorry but i have work obligations. But i stress the fact that he calls. When i was young my father and mother's father got into a huge fight over something. I can't remmeber what it was about. But my father is very childish when it somes to these things and he would not call or go to my grandoarents house so we would go to ther house for hholidays with my mom and my dad would stay home by himself. This would cause so much tension in our house, if we just mentioned our grandfather my dad would get mad. My poor mother was torn between her father and husband and she would cry all the time. Over a year later one of my dad's friends got through to him and ata family event they finally started talking, not about the fight but somewhat normally again. Its just it can cause alot of tension and be upsetting. I am not saying your father is right but just try to get youur Dh to call.
