Strech Mark Question (And skin after c/s question
I managed to lose 90 lbs since DD was born 12 months ago, but I am covered in stretch marks. Is there anything I can use to fade them?
And what can I do to tighten my skin on my stomach? It is gross!

Michelle - I used Strivectin-SD and my stretch marks look soooo much better. They are almost completely faded (although you can still definitely see them). No advice for the loose skin, except maybe a tummy tuck
Congrats on the weight loss!

GO MICH!!!
My stretch marks have significantly faded since having Loey, so I'm not sure what to say to help with that.
I am wondering about tightening stomach skin too. I have a diastasis which is an abnormal separation of the stomach muscles, so my muscles are VERY separated leaving me a little "pooch" that makes me look very pregnant after I eat!
I just ordered this "boot camp" DVD and I'm going to try that - it's geared toward moms.

Seriously! You rocked it, girl! For the lose skin, if you don't want to go the tummy tuck route, then find a dermatologist who does thermage. My sister's inlaws have a derm practice in westchester and they do this. Apparently it really works. Here's a before and after pic I found after getting thermage done:

Re: Strech Mark Question (And skin after c/s question
A friend of mine lost about the same weight and had a lot of stretch marks and a significant amount of sagging skin. You can not excercise enough to tighten the extra skin. She got a tummy tuck and looks fabulous, although I'm not sure how many people would go that route or have the money to pay for it. If it's not your kind of route, maybe using a body shaper underneath your clothing? Congrats on the weight loss!!!

Thank you.
I don't want to do a tummy tuck right now because I am definitely not done having children. It is not terrible, but my skin is mushy and there is a little bit that hangs over. I am definitely planning a tummy tuck when I am over and done!

Thank you everyone!
Even though I am definitely distributed differently from before, it is definitely nice to be back in a lot of different things I haven't been able to wear in over 3 years!

I've been using the new Mademera cream that is for stretch marks...it works! They are fading lighter...they won't go away but the color has gotten better and skin is just smoother. I highly recommend...all parenting magazines have a coupon for it...I see the coupon in them all the time. You have to use it daily though - day and night!

Of course!
I had to eliminate dairy and soy due to DD's milk allergy and after I saw how great I felt, I adapted it as a lifestyle. I combined this with Bethenny Frankel's Naturally Thin, and took principles, such as smaller portions and eating frequently. I also cook a lot more and use spices in place of cheese and butter. I also eat natural as often as possible and eliminated processed foods, high fructose corn syrup and soy lecithin.
I exercise when I can but I carry DD a lot and I use her as fitness equipment-I do overhead presses with her, situps, walk around the block holding her. It is a human medicine ball!
