Stroller/Car Seat Questions
My dd is growing out of infant car seat, which means no more snap n go. I will be using the actual seat for the stroller. When you go out for the day do you take your stoller system (uppababy) stroller?
Do you snap the reg seat out when you put it in car? or do you just fold it closed with seat in it. I have a full size car not an suv, but we all know these trunks dont have a ton of space. Do I just buy an umbrella stroller at this point and use that instead? Stick to the big stroller for walks only?
How do you do it when you get home and have a lot of packages?
How do you do it when you take a walk and have a lot of packages? How do you remove all bags then baby and the close up stroller and get that up to? I have front steps to my house.
At what age/weight can you use an umbrella stroller? Ny dd is 9 months now.
Thank you for all help/suggestions/advice!

Stroller/Car Seat Questions
I have one DD. She still fits into her infant seat, but I don't carry her in it when I shop. When we have a lot of packages the majority go in the trunk then back seat with DD. We live in a house so DD comes in first with me and I get her settled then unpack the car.
Not quite sure on the "take a walk" think you're asking. Food shopping for the most part I do on my own, but DH is available most times so DD doesn't need to come with me. If I have the stoller with me (that she doesn't fit into the store cart) that is the last thing to come into the house.

Stroller/Car Seat Questions
Thank you! Im a first time mom so just trying to figure out what works best. Sometimes I take dd with me when I do food shopping and I have a store that is 1 block away. Therefore I walk there sometimes with her and when I get home its a pain getting her out of the stroller, the packages and the stroller up my front steps. I obviously cant do everything at once. And I cant take her out get her in the house and settle her in then get my packages. My packages would be gone along with my stroller when I get back outside LOL

Stroller/Car Seat Questions
I use the uppa all the time, I just close it with the seat attached and put it in the trunk. It just has to be facing outward in order to fold. I don't like going shopping with an umbrella stroller bc there is no basket and I feel like when I put bags on the handle its too heavy. As far as grocery shopping, I would just bring her in the house first, put her somewhere safe and then run back outside for the packages. You'll find a routine that works for you, don't stress too much

I have this stroller and I walk everywhere with it... and I always have something huge in the basket. And I'm very lazy to make two trips and very paranoid someone will walk by and take my stuff if I leave it on sidewalk ... so ...
My parents house has about 8 steps to front door. I would just really slowly and carefully drag stroller up backwards up the steps. Make sure baby and all is secure, it takes some strength ... its a little crazy to do, and maybe I shouldn't be recommending it ... but its what I've done for 3 years once a week at least ... without issue :)
... You could always just leave the stroller and stuff, take baby in, secure baby, go get the rest of the stuff

Re: Stroller/Car Seat Questions
I have the Vista also and take DS for walls to the market all the time since there is one up the block. I only buy a few things when I'm walking, since its a pain with the stroller. But what I usually do is put DS in his carseat for a minute since my car is always in my driveway, fold up stroller and put in my trunk, carry groceries into the hallway, then bring him in the house.
If he happens to be napping I just take the chance and carry him upstairs while leaving the stroller by my front door. Then I come back out and fold it up.
You don't have to detach the seat for the vista to fold it. Just make sure it's facing out.

Stroller/Car Seat Questions
I would probably try to unload the groceries to the top of the steps, then bring DD and the stroller just inside the door, then move the groceries inside. I'm sure you'll figure something out that works for you. I'm hoping DD will be walking by the time I retire the snap and go since I can barely get the door locked or unlocked while holding her!

Re: Stroller/Car Seat Questions
I still mainly use my bigger stroller (City Select) when I go out and DD is 21 months. Although it is kind of a pain to take in and out of the car I like how she sits totally upright and supported in the seat, love the giant basket and how I can have her face me.
If I know I will be running in and out of the car and different stores where I will need a stroller all day I will take my little Chicco Liteway.
