Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

DH & I were in BBB last night and I am so confused about the strollers. Originally I thought I wanted the uppababy but it is such a pain to fold and take the top off. Since I drive everywhere I should probably stick to a more comfortable stroller as far as folding and putting it together right?
Any advice?
DH & I were also talking about actually using the stroller, we drive everywhere, the only time we walk is if we take the dog for a walk. So I'm thinking besides taking walks here and there with the baby - when else do you really use the stroller?
I know in the begiining it will be easier to use the infant car seat and carry it everywhere.
TIA

You should def get the snap & go base for whatever infant carrier you have. This way you just unfold it & put the carseat onto it.

Even though you drive, you will need the stroller to walk from you car to wherever b/c the carrier is heavy & awkward to hold

As far as full size strollers I am Ok with how the Graco Metrolite folds. But it is a little heavy & bulky fo rm e to lift in out of my truck. We leave that in DH car. When the weather is nicer again, we will use this for walks though, so we may just leave it by the front door for that & he can take it when he needs it in his car.

We need 2 strollers because I like one in my car always and TOO many times one of us was left without a stroller because it was in the others car.

For when baby is a little older, nothing (to me!!) beats the ease of folding, the light weight & the comfort the Maclaren Quest is giving me!! LOVE this thing! I bought after retiring my Snap & Go when DS grew out of his infant carrier. It reclines easily, folds like a dream & is super light! Since I do more running around & short errands , this works for me because I am not sure I would like this for long walks.

You will use the stroller everywhere you go. If you go shopping, running errands, you name it.

I had a snap and go. And also the Graco Metrolite system (The carseat also snaps into that)

I also have a Maclaren (For when the baby is bigger) and a jogger!

I haven't even purchased the stroller I registered for! The Snap and Go is the way to go in the beginning!

Snap & Go is a must-have. I also have a Peg Perego Pliko P3. It's very easy to fold up and pretty light too. When DD was around 12-15 mos. I bought the Chicco Capri which is an umbrella stroller.

I agree as well, the snap & go is great--so easy to put the carseat in and go, we used it for errands and walks for the first 6 or 7 months.
I waited to buy a regular stroller until we were ready to stop using the snap & go, I wanted to try them out with my DS to see if he would like them, then I ended up getting a CityMini which we use for walks, errands, etc.

I swear by the Snap N Go base for quick trips to any store. DS has gotten very heavy in the carrier so I can't just run into the store holding the carrier anymore. When we take him to the mall or other places where we will be walking for a bit we tend to take the largers stroller from the travel system.

The Snap N Go was awesome!!! Now my DS has outgrown it and we have the Inglesina Zippy. It's hard to get on LI but one store in the 5 towns has it. The fold is VERY easy.

Snap N Go is the only thing you'll need those first few months.

I got a travel system and after the first month I stopped using the stroller... it was too large and bulky.

Snap N Go was/is GREAT

giving the travel system and the snap N go to a friend as Im moving into a Convertible car seat and stroller finally.

Just wanted to say that everything will come together once you have the baby. I was so overwhelmed with all of these baby things. I wanted to make sure I knew how to use everything beforehand and I ended up delivering early! It was all just fine once she was here anyway. Chat Icon And as others have said, definitely get the snap & go.

Re: Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

we are mostly car people too so i talked myself out of a few (iinc. the bugaboo!)we loved the graco snap n go when dd was little, then when she outgrew it we have used both the peg perego pliko p3 (i think that it what its called....its not the aria, as they both have floating harnesses but since the aira is lighter, the stroller could tip over...) and now I mostly use the bumbleride flyer.... we also have the maclaren jogger for neighborhood walks....but then again, can you tell i am stroller addicted?

Re: Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

You definitely need a stroller. I say go for the snap and go and something that is light and folds up easily into your trunk for when the baby is bigger. I'd suggest looking for something with a big basket underneath, smooth one-handed steering (for when you're talking on your cell or drinking somethingChat Icon ) and a tray. I drive everywhere and use the stroller all the time to tote all of our crap.

I recommend the Snap & Go for the first few months, then the Peg Perego Pliko 3, and possibly a jogging/all terrain stroller if you like to walk on rough ground with the dog, although the Pliko does pretty well.

I had a Snap N go in the beginning and now I use the Ingelsina Zippy - it's great b/c it folds very easily - I highly recommend testing one out!

Re: Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

The snap n go is great for quick trips although it's not reccomended to leave an infant in the infant car seat for a long time...when DD was small I used it for quick trips but if we were going to be at the mall for a long time I would take my Pliko P3 so she could lay down flat.

I would suggest the Peg Perego Pliko Switch...it has an umbrella fold and the seat can be reversed to face you or face out. I love Pegs...the fabric is awesome and holds up really well. My Pliko is almost 6 years old and still looks new. I'm not sure if you can adapt a car seat or not on it but I know with the regular Pliko P3 you can put the Peg Perego car seat in the stroller and essentially make it a snap n go.

Another option for you if you are looking for a lightweight reversible stroller is the Bugaboo Bee. They sell car seat adaptors for it and once your baby is done with the carseat you can use the stroller facing you or out. Good Luck!!!

Re: Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

Since you are due in August, same time I was, I highly recommend a stroller. We got the travel system, but it was a pain in the a$$ for the car. It was a HUGE help for me to get out and walk everywhere. (Especially since I couldn't drive for a very long time.) If I had to sit in the house I would've lost it. We would walk around the neighborhood, go to the lake to see the birds, etc.

I used that stroller nearly everyday until the first snowfall.

Re: Stroller ? for moms who use their car mostly

I have the Graco Safe seat with the snap and go. We use this most of the time since DS is only 4 months old. Its great because you don;t have to move the baby if he is sleeping and the snap and go has a large basket underneath. I also have the Britax Boulevard (convertible carseat) in my car and a MaClaren for when we go out in my car. I love the MaClaren (my sister got me the Burberry one). Its lightweight, folds very easily and reclines. I took baby shopping with me and he slept like a champ in it the whole time. You can get away with just having the snap and go for a while!
