Swine Flu Anyone????
For the past two days I have had fevers of 100-101, general aches and a sore throat. Not dying by any means, and in fact functioning, but tired.
Tonight my mother had me convinced its probably flu. Just wondering if anyone else has this? If it continues I'll go and get checked out but honestly I'm more afraid of what I might pick up in my doctor's office.

I went to the dr. with this the other day - I felt horrible for four days, with each day having different symptoms. Started with a head ache and sore throat, than the fever and chills came also. Because of the fever, I went to the dr. but he just said it was prollly the regular flu... Just told me to rest and drink a lot of fluids, but he couldn't obviously do a lot, since I was at the tail end of the flu. Feel better soon!!

Just curious did you start to feel better by day 5??

I had a really bad flu last year... My dr thought it was probably swine flu but it was never confirmed. He suspected it was swine because I'm a teacher and it was going around my school 
Anyway I felt a lot better after a week. Now........ let me say, in that week I felt so crappy I thought I would NEVER get better..... I even told my doctor that!!  But, after a week I was back at work and I would say 10 days later I felt back to my old self..... even went to a wedding and danced with my DH

Thanks for the responses. I think the fever finally broke tonight, on day 3 1/2.
I'm actually hoping its Swine flu, because I feel as if it wasn't horrible. Everything I've been reading says it lasts 5 days or so and most people never require treatment (I assume for secondary infections).
Because of the holiday, I still haven't gone to the doctor. I don't think there is much they can do anyway.
