Swings

I have been putting Justin in the swing for a few minutes each day. He seems to like it. He is going to be 4 weeks on Tuesday. Is this too early for him?

Also, if your child falls asleep in the swing, do you leave them there sleeping? With the swing going or do you shut it off.

Thanks!Chat Icon

Re: Swings

We started putting Miranda in her swing pretty early on but she never really liked it and still doesn't. On the rare occasion that she would fall asleep in it I left her sleeping in there and I think most moms do.

Re: Swings

I never really realized that you could put them in too early. I just never heard of it. We started it probably around 3-4 weeks and she loves the swing. Sometimes if she's fighting sleep big time the swing is what does it and she'll get a good nap in there.

Hayley is the same way too...if she is fighting sleep, I put her in the swing and she goes right to sleep Chat Icon

I asked his ped last time we went and he said it's fine as long as it doesn't swing to fast or hard.

Re: Swings

I think the twins were both in the swing when they were 1-2 weeks old. They loved it.
