Switching Formula Question?
Reilly's pediatrician decided to change her formula from Similac Advance Early Shield to Similac Sensitive RS. She was spitting up/vomiting every time she was feeding with the Advance and was very gassy and had a poopy diaper at every single change! Now, she spits up alot less, is a lot less gassy but has had only 3 poopy diapers in the last 36 hours!! And there was hardly any poop in them- so not like before!
Did anyone else experience this when they changed formula? I called the ped and he said to give the new formula a week, but I feel so bad that DD isn't pooping hardly at all!!

Re: Switching Formula Question?
Yes give it a week! It takes their little bodies some time to adjust to the new formula.
My ped always told me that for FF babies, they don't always go every day and it's common for them to poop every other day. My DS poops pretty much every day, but every once in a while, skips a day.

Re: Switching Formula Question?
I have been going through formula he!! myself lately, but trust me the poop thing is totally normal. Sounds like she is on the right track now ~ give it a little bit longer

Re: Switching Formula Question?
Give it a week.
Is she in pain? You could give her an oz of water and that would do the trick

Re: Switching Formula Question?
Gabi give it a few days at least. Gianna just has a 3 day streak of no poops. I called the pedi today and he said 1 week without poop is OK as long as they arent acting out in pain and are eatting as normal. I had errands to run today and my mom came to babysat and Gianna gave granny 3 poopie diaper.

Re: Switching Formula Question?
Totally normal. Sydnie could not handle that "Early Shield" formula either. Then we switched her to Gentlease and it took a good 10 days to fully adjust and we still have to give her 1 oz of prune juice a day.
ETA: I get 2 good poopy diapers every 24 hours.
