switching to sippy only
is 1 years old to early to switch to a sippy cup only instead of a bottle for milk?
he currently drinks from both right now, but I only give him water in the sippy..
I figred we can possibly do away with the bottles..
TIA

Re: switching to sippy only
At Hayley's 1 year Dr appointment the Dr said I could take it away whenever I wanted but then I take her for her 15 month appointment and a different Dr said he wants the bottle and binkie gone by 18 months....I will probably break her of the bottle but not the binkie. She only gets it for nap and bed time.

Re: switching to sippy only
thanks!
I failed to asked the dr this qestion at his 1 year checkup last week..
I figured the earlier off the bottle the easier it would be... so i think we will do this now..

Re: switching to sippy only
Ryan has been using a sippy for a couple of months now, he is 11 months. I use the Nuby, which is a good transition from the bottle because of the soft spout.

Re: switching to sippy only
Sydney will be a year in a few days. We are starting to work on this because she is losing interest in the bottle. Last night I put some formula in her sippy cup and she drank some and flung it across the room and then only wanted the bottle. I figure I could try a little every day and soon she will adjust.

Re: switching to sippy only
When JAcob turned one, a couple of days after his birthday, I went cold turkey with milk and the sippy cup and he hasn't taken the bottle since...
